With the windows open and the breeze blowing through you can really start to get into the fact that warmer days are here and that spring is indeed in the air.
The smell of a bbq going on, or the sound of a trimmer or some sort of lawncare machine.
The chirping of brids, the buzzing of bees, the sounds of people chatting outdoors.
The crack of a beer can or the pop of a bottle cap coming off.
The sight of kids riding bikes and playing ball.
The annoyance of nosey neighbors LOL!
The Crack of the bat, the pop of the ball htting a glove, the sound of a ball being kicked.
bare feet, sandles and flip flops (you know why they call them flip flops or floppers? It's because that's the sound they make when you walk in them. One goes flip the other goes flop LOL!)
Shorts & short skirts (I would again like to personally thank the inventors of the mini skirt and the bikini)
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
As Kat mentioned in her post about the flowers being in bloom...
Open a window or two and let the breeze blow through and you might feel a little bit of spring in your step too.

in the sounds department...
we have a woodpecker outside who keeps mistaking the house for a tree. This morning he was working on one of the downspouts!!! The head of my bed is against an outside wall, and it sounds hilarious.

Now we are back to rain today. Theses little spring weather teasers are getting me too ready for it to finally be nice and stay nice.

Longer days in store too, we turn the clocks up this weekend. That always felt like the real arrival of spring to me, when the evenings were longer and you had more daylight to work in the yard and such. The sun has been setting around 7:00 here so after this weekend we'll be having daylight all the way up to 8:00 and by June it won't be dark until 9:30.
Be careful taunting JDF Sluggo, this story reminded me of her. A lot.
